| At the top of Bigelow Bench along the trail is a large arrow made of stones. It is thought by some that when the Mormon Vanguard company reached this point there was a fork in the trail. The arrow was placed to point the way for the thousands of Saints that would follow. Interestingly, by the time the next company arrived, the trail had been switched to the north of Bridger Butte and very few followed around the south side. |
